We are Simon and Linda Cooper and we live in Berkshire in the UK - this is us in Spain.
We love Vejer and the whole Costa de la Luz area and welcome the opportunity to share this beautiful part of Spain with you. We like to offer the "personal touch" to our guests and as we visit Vejer ourselves as much as we can, we have a very good knowledge of the area and constantly add new pictures and information to the website!

Below are some of our personal recommendations for the area and reviews from previous guests.
RESTAURANTS
El Jardin Del Califa - located in Plaza de Espana offering Moroccan style food in beautiful surroundings. You can dine in the lovely gardens in warmer weather and when it is a bit cooler the pergola has a wall of glass where you can still enjoy looking at the gardens.
La Posada- located in Los Remedios. Traditional Spanish cooking with good sized portions.
Pizzeria La Posta - authentic pizza and pasta at reasonable prices - has a small outside secluded courtyard area of only 4 tables so you need to get there at 9.00pm when they open to eat outside.
Las Perdices - located in Avda Buenavista which is the closest restaurant to the house. Excellent food but no outside areas so a good place for the cooler evenings
Cafe Bar Arriate - on Corredera with beautiful views across the valley to Medina Sidonia. Wide range of traditional dishes and tapas.

we enjoyed our holidays very much in Vista Marroqui. The view from the roof terrace is just spectacular and we also enjoyed the little owls calling in the evening from the roof tops and chimneys around. Of course I made many photographs of birds (La Janda: highly recommended!), butterflies and whales (orcas, pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins. We used the whale watching company "firmm", which we also wish to recommend). The beaches were also very nice, especially El Palmar and Barbate (the beach close to the cliff).

We enjoyed our month in Vejer staying in this very comfortable property. Everything was immaculately presented and the house was equipped to meet all needs. There is satellite tv reception, mainly limited to BBC channels (when it's raining or "El Levante" is blowing fiercely). However, the bars and restaurants in Vejer are comfortable and everybody that we met was incredibly friendly (especially if you can greet then with a few words of Spanish). Vejer is a hill-top town and is charming. There are, potentially, issues for the elderly or for people who are less mobile. However, for the physically fit (or reasonably fit) jogging around the back streets will, definitely, help to shed a few pounds. We would particularly recommend the cafe/bar "El Maestren" in Juan Relinque whose owner is a keen Real Madrid supporter.

Hadn't been to the area before but loved the town! House was really comfortable and having spent time wandering around the narrow streets of the old town we appreciated being able to park outside! Pool is really lovely and only a few steps away - so easy to pop back to the house for lunch.

The photos and descriptions on the site are spot on. The house is fully equipped with plenty of room and very comfortable furniture. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival and in working order. All the linen was good quality - either John Lewis or M&S.
The views from the roof terrace are great and we really enjoyed eating and relaxing up there - we even had a barbecue. We would also recommend breakfasting on the front terrace which is shaded from the sun first thing before you've had a change to slap on the sunscreen.
Especially useful was the provision of deck chairs and loungers.
Our enquiries were dealt with promptly and courteously and the owners provided lots of useful information on things to see and do.
The town and surrounding area are beautiful - true unspoilt Spain. There are several clean, sandy beaches nearby and plenty of water sports if you want. The house is within easy drive of Jerez - we would recommend a visit and the accompanying sherry tour!
On a clear day you can see across to Tangier and a day trip across from Tarifa is definitely worth it for the markets although sometimes the hassling can get a bit much if you're not prepared for it.
The house is within easy walking distance from the centre of the town where there are plenty of great quality restaurants. We loved the Moroccan inspired Califa - authentic cuisine in a stunning sunken garden. La Posta is great for affordable, delicious pizza and was open late.
We have whole heartedly recommended this property to our friends. We've already booked our return visit!

It was a wonderful holiday, a great break. Your house is extremely comfortable and has absolutely everything one could possibly need. Vejer is a beautiful and interesting town. But, oh, those hills! Fortunately, the restaurant nearest to you is probably the nicest and I ate there twice.
From the outside, it looked rather posh and I didn’t go there first of all but in fact it is very friendly and also very much of a local for nearby residents.

Thanks so much for everything. We have stayed in many rented cottages over the last 20 years in England and Europe and I can easily say that yours was the most richly furnished, with every comfort imaginable.
Your decor is beautiful and we had a great week with the Semana Santa and the bull run.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your house. The accommodation layout and the quality of the furnishings is excellent. Very good position to be able to walk into the lovely town. Loved the front patio - breakfast outside most mornings! We would definitely like to return to your house at a later stage and will recommend it to various friends and family.
